The KSON KM-EQ4 Mount is engineered and built to handle an 8kg payload, boasting smooth operation and robust stability. Both its 63mm-diameter RA and DEC worm gears are crafted with high-precision CNC machining, guaranteeing seamless tracking performance. A Vixen-style dovetail adapter comes as standard, making it compatible with telescopes fitted with Vixen dovetail plates.

Featuring a 25×2.5mm steel tube RA shaft, the mount delivers ample stability to support 8kg optical tube assemblies (OTA).

The accompanying tripod is constructed from 32mm/28mm steel tubing, with height adjustable between 70 and 120cm. A triangular tray accessory on the tripod’s top is secured to the upper tubes via three connectors, significantly enhancing the tripod’s overall stability.

The equatorial mount itself weighs just 2.6kg. When paired with a 4kg counterweight (with a 350mm-long, 20mm-diameter shaft) and the KSON KT7 tripod, the total weight of the entire system stays under 12kg.
