KSON KTA90070KM-EQ2 refractor telescope with EQ2 equatorial mount
The KSON KTA90070KM-EQ2 optical tube assembly features a 900mm focal length and a 70mm objective lens which is two elements achromatic fully coated. The tube is aluminum, painted sand-black outside and flat black internally, and fully baffled for excellent visual and CCD imaging. The optical tube assembly is diffraction limited at λ/4 (1/4 wave in Sodium light). The diagonal consists of polished flat mirror which ensures good image. A 19mm window red dot finder may help you by getting the observer behind the telescope without losing the surrounding field of view when targeting objects day and night. Included with the KTA90070KM-EQ2 are a 1.25” Kellner 25mm and a Plossl 10mm eyepieces.
The KSON KM-EQ2 Mount, is designed and manufactured for 4kgs payload with smooth movement and sturdy performance. The 63mm diameter RA worm gear and 13mm brass-made worm are CNC-machined with very high quality to ensure the smooth tracking. Azimuth micro-adjustments is a standard feature for easy Polaris alignment, ready-made function is well done for a KSON Polar scope. Vixen style dovetail adaptor is a standard part and is suitable for scope with Vixen dovetail plate.
With 25x2.5mm diameter steel tube RA shaft, it is stable enough for 4kgs scope..
Tripod uses 28mm/25mm steel tubes, adjustable height from 70 to 120cm, with the triangle-shaped tray accessory forced with three connectors on the tripod top tubes makes the tripods very stable.
The EQ mount is only 1.3kgs, with 1.1kgs of counterbalance and 200mm long 16mm diameter shaft and KSON KT4 tripod it is less than 5kgs.
With a KSON Motor Drive, user may track and take pictures and videos.
KTA90070KM-EQ2 telescope allows you to see the lunar craters, sunspots, atmospheric flows of Jupiter and its four largest moons, phases of Venus, rings of Saturn, and binary stars with a separation of 2.3 arc seconds between their distance, dim 11.3 magnitude stars, and even the bright nebulae and other galaxies.
