The KSON KTA900102KM-EQ4 102mm refractor optical tube assembly features a 900mm focal length. The objective lens is a 102mm air-spaced refractor lens set with higher transmission broad-band multi-coating for sharp observation of detailed sky objects . The tube itself is CNC machined aluminun, painted flat black internally for excellent visual and CCD imaging. It has a resolving power of 1.29 arc seconds. The optical tube assembly is diffraction limited at λ4 (1/4 wave in Sodium light). The finderscope is KSON’s 8x50 Finderscope with illuminator which helps by getting the observer behind the telescope without losing the surrounding field of view when targeting objects day and night.

The KSON KM-EQ4 Mount, is designed and manufactured for 8kgs payload with smooth movement and sturdy performance. The 63mm diameter RA and DEC worm and worm gear are CNC-machined with very high quality to ensure the smooth tracking. Vixen style dovetail adaptor is a standard part and is suitable for scope with Vixen dovetail plate. With 25x2.5mm diameter steel tube RA shaft, it is stable enough for 8kgs OTA. Tripod uses 32mm/28mm steel tubes, adjustable height from 70 to 120cm, with the triangle-shaped tray accessory forced with three connectors on the tripod top tubes makes the tripods very stable. The EQ mount is only 2.6kgs, with 4kgs of counterbalance and 330mm long 20mm diameter shaft and KSON KT7 tripod it is less than 12kgs. Reinforced stainless steel tripod ensures a stable position of the telescope and confident damping vibrations, so that when you move the optical tube assy. image will not shake. The tripod also features an accessory tray with slots to place 3 1.25” and 1 2” eyepieces or lenses and retractable rubber feet.
