The 80mm Primary mirror delivers the light gathering ability of a full size Reflector telescope, but is very portable.
The KSON KDB50080 optical tube assembly features a 500mm focal length and is finished in a matching matte black granite finish.The Primary mirror is an 80mm heavy duty mirror cell with push / pull collimation screws. The primary mirror is aluminized with Silicon Monoxide Quartz overcoat providing 92% reflectivity and a resolving power of 1.45 arc seconds. The optical tube assembly is diffraction limited at λ/4 (1/4 wave in Sodium light). The focuser is a 1¼″format helical rack and pinion focuser.
The finderscope is red dot Finderscope which helps by getting the observer behind the telescope without losing the surrounding field of view when targeting objects. Included with the KDB50080 are a 1.25″F20mm eyepiece and a 1.25″6mm eyepiece with an apparent field of view of 50, plus a 3x Barlow to boost the magnifications to 3 times which helps getting higher power for viewing more details of Moon and planets.
